The semester begins...
The paper is once again up and running. Now we
need some support from you.
We are once again asking you to send in any dates and
times on upcoming events. This includes sports events, bands,
clubs, CRC, conferences, ect. Basically,nf you hear about it, tell
us and we will let everyone else know. .
We are also going to try something a little new... an advice
column. This column will be for all those things you would love to
talk to someone about but are to embarassed to say anything.
Maybe you are just starting to date, or you are having a problem
with your roommate, it can be anything. Write to Dear Maple
at northernlights@unity.unity.edu or DC Box 545.
Opinions expressed in submissions from students, faculty, and college staff do not
necessarily represent those of the Northern Lights editorial staff or of Unity College generally.
Articles and letters from all parties are encouraged and must be signed—the editors retain the right
not to print material submitted anonymously and also to make silent grammatical and spelling
corrections where necessary. Writers are encouraged to bear in mind the respectful treatment due to
fellow members of the Unity College Community. Address submissions to Box# 545 byjriday 12pm
on the week before you wish them to be run. Submissions may also be e-mailed to
northernlights@unity.unity.edu or left in the Northern Lights folder outside the classroom in the
library basement. Please include with your name a box number or phone number where you can be
reached. Items of 20 lines or more must be e-mailed or sent on a 3.5 disc in Microsoft Word 6.0 or
6.5 or IBM text. Your disc will be returned. Due to space limitations some materials may be edited
for length. Any submissions received after the deadline will not be printed in that week's edition.
